1.     When is rubbish day?
The City of Highland Heights collects rubbish and recycling on Thursdays.  Place items out no sooner than 7 p.m. the night before.  Holidays such as New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas delay pick-up by one day.  On all other holidays, collection remains on schedule.
2.    What items are the owner's responsibility, and what are the Association's responsibilities?
Generally speaking owners are responsible to maintain everything on the interior of the Unit.  The Association maintains Common Elements, which includes the building structure and common grounds.  Owners are responsible to maintain Limited Common elements, such as doors and windows.  Click this link for a complete description:
Description of maintenance responsibilities
3     How do I get a pool pass/ fitness room key?
Contact Western Reserve Management at 216-749-6300.
4.    What type of things need prior board approval?
Except for planting annual flowers in existing beds, any changes affecting the exterior of the Units require prior approval from the Board.  Submit an
Architectural/ Landscape request form.  along with a picture, drawing or brochure to the management company.  The Board will review the request, and you will get a response from the management company.
5    What are reserves and how is funding determined?
The Board had a professional reserve study done to determine the amount of roofing, siding, concrete and other Common Elements that the Association would have to eventually replace, and estimated the useful life of each item.  The study recommends a level of funding to make sure the Association has sufficient reserves on hand to pay for replacements when they are needed.  The study is updated periodically.
